Another new entry in the Power 100 list in 2020, Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company’s (Edamah) Amin Alarrayed has led the company to work alongside government and private organisations in the kingdom in order to strengthen the country’s investment environment, focusing on the real estate industry.
2019 has been particularly an important year for Edamah. The company, which is the real-estate arm of Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund Mumtalakat, acquired a 36.6% stake in Bahrain Car Parks Company that specialises in the construction development, and management of parking lots, marking Edamah’s first partnership with a private firm.
Earlier this year, Alarrayed told Construction Week that 2020 was the ‘year of delivery’, as the property developer plans to deliver three of its key projects this year.
The Sa’ada project, located at the heart of Muharraq was designed to fill the gap for waterfront public spaces in the area.
Another project, Salmaniya Medical Complex multi-storey car park development is expected to be completed by August 2020. Meanwhile, Edamah’s flagship project, Bilaj Aljazayer, is also nearing completion.
